(Eucalyptus saligna)
Eucalyptus Saligna is a native hardwood of Australia and New Zealand, prized for its density and resilience.
With a Janka hardness rating of around 8500 N, it’s harder than many common kitchen woods, making it exceptionally tough and well-suited to heavy use.
Its timber ranges in colour from pale pink to rich reddish-brown, often with subtle interlocking grain patterns that give each board a distinctive character.
Traditionally used in furniture, flooring, and boatbuilding, this hardwood has proven its ability to handle demanding environments.
